Michel Drees, who prepped at Covington Catholic, transferred to Vanderbilt from the Charleston Southern where he was named team MVP and had two marks ranking in the program’s all-time top 10. In high school, he earned all-region and all-state honors and won a state championship as a member of the 4×800-meter relay. His prep-best times include 1:59.43 in the 800 meters, 4:26.14 in the 1,600 meters and 15:56.8 in the 5K (XC). Academically, he was a member of the National Honor Society and the honor roll.
