Vanderbilt ends its month-long stretch of road meets at LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. — Vanderbilt track and field prepares for its fifth and final away meet weekend of the regular season as it travels to Baton Rouge for the LSU Alumni Gold Saturday.

Dore Notes
• Her last time out, Veronica Fraley reset the Ole Miss Track Stadium record in the discus and won the event with a 59.42-meter throw.
• Fraley holds the Bernie Moore Track Stadium record in the discus, which was set during the 2023 SEC Outdoor Championships at 62.84 meters.
• Fraley (17.02 meters) and Sarah Omoregie (16.57 meters) came in second and third, respectively, in the shot put at Florida Relays.
• At Raleigh Relays, Julia Rosenberg broke the school record in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:04.24.
• Freshman Bria Bennis is second in school history in the 5,000 meters, recording a time of 16:05.11 at the Dores’ last meet, the Bryan Clay Invitational.
• Alix Still won her section of the heptathlon at the Bryan Clay Invitational, compiling a score of 5,471 points, which is the fifth-ranked mark in Vandy history.
• Heading into the weekend, five Commodore performances rank in the NCAA’s top 30 in their events—Fraley is No. 6 in the discus and 20th in the shot put, Alix Still is 17th in the heptathlon, Allyria McBride is No. 27 in the 400-meter hurdles and Omoregie is 29th in the shot put.
• Twelve marks by Vanderbilt student-athletes are ranked top 10 in the SEC at this point in the season.
• So far this season, the Commodores have recorded 17 performances ranking in the program’s all-time top 10.
